About Me

If you had told me five years ago that I would have a photography prop business, I would have laughed and thought you were crazy. But life is funny and things fall into place when and where they’re supposed to.
I’m Kristen and I’m 31 years old! I met my husband in 2009 just as he was about to join the Navy. We got married in March of 2010 and then got to know each other! I sold most of my belongings and packed what I could in my car and his jeep and moved to Washington state.
After having our first child while my husband was deployed and surprisingly getting pregnant with our second child right before a second deployment, we decided it would be best for me to stay home with the kids. It didn’t take long for me to be completely bored at home!
I bought my first semi-professional camera in the fall of 2012. I have always had a love for photography and wanted to use the small amount of money I made on a camera. I learned all I could and started taking photos for other military families. It quickly bloomed into a business. I had my photography business, Kristen Lynne Hall Photos, for roughly 2 years. During this time, I taught myself to knit to make myself bonnets for newborn photos. Before long, it was time for us to move to our new location- Pensacola, FL.
Upon arriving in Pensacola, I decided that I was worn out on doing photography. Being a Navy family means we move every few years and I didn’t want to start to rebuild a clientele in a new location. I decided to shift gears and bought myself my first sewing machine. I taught myself to sew! After trying to do several different things with sewing, I found a love for making photography props. I drafted some patterns from baby outfits and started slowly stepping my foot into this industry’s door!
I quickly began selling items I made and had many bumps along the way. Self drafting patterns tends to mean the fit may not be very well. But thankfully I have found some amazing photographer friends along the way that have been with me from the start. I have evolved so much in three years and am continuing to learn new techniques each day.
I have never felt so fulfilled in life! I now have an amazing sailor of a husband, three beautiful children and a home business that allows me to be a wife and mom but also do what I love. I am forever thankful for the photographers that have been with me from the beginning and the ones I keep meeting along the way.
Thank YOU for supporting small businesses!
